Trump tells conservatives NAFTA is 'economy un-development'

President Trump took on multilateral deals in general and NAFTA in particular during at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Feb. 24, reiterating his long-standing belief that one-on-one deals with strong exit provisions are preferable.
“We’re going to make trade deals, but we’re going to do one on one, one on one, and if they misbehave, we terminate the deal and then they’ll come back and we’ll make a better deal,” he said at the conference. “None of these big quagmire deals that are a disaster.”
Trump again railed against NAFTA, calling it “one of the worst deals ever made by any country.”
“It’s economy un-development, as far as our country is concerned,” he said.
Trump also touted the completion of his campaign promise to withdraw the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
